On the 31st august and 01st september 2012, the 5th international street arts and music festival - the Hildesheimer Pflasterzauber - took place.
More than 80 national and international artists and acrobats, magicians and jugglers, clowns and comedians, variety artists and singers/songwriters turned downtown Hildesheim into a large and colorful arena. Children as well as adults were thrilled and enchanted by the varied, fascinating, humorous, musical and sometimes even bizarre shows.
Not only in the daytime suspenseful shows were seen. The evening mood emphasized especially the fire jugglers with their breathtaking show. Highlight of the festival was the closing event on the market square on Saturday, when all of the artists gathered and performed a "Best of-Gala-Show" together. In 2011 numerous well-known and new artists came to Hildesheim and enchanted the audience and we hope in 2012 on the 31st august and 01st september again!
The combination of carefree joy, creativity, spontaneity and entertainment makes the festival that special. Hildesheim offers, as the smallest major city in Niedersachsen, a unique, almost familiar atmosphere. The magic of Pflasterzauber can be experienced everywhere. All performances are for free and take place in the city along the pedestrian area! For the audience stands the slogan:
“If you like the gag, throw some money in the cap!" or "If you like the show, some money you can throw!"
Hildesheim is already looking forward to the next open-air spectacle in 2011, with numerous artists and visitors.
